Street Dance
Street dance is an umbrella term, similar to vernacular dance, used to describe dance styles that evolved outside of dance studios at more everyday spaces such as streets, school yards and nightclubs. They're often improvisational and social in nature, encouraging interaction and contact with the spectators and the other dancers.
Street dance is also commonly used specifically for the many hip hop dances and funk dance styles that began appearing in the United States in the 1970s, and are still alive and evolving within the hip hop culture of today, such as breakdance, popping, Locking (dance), hip hop new style and house dance. These dances are popular on all levels, as a form of exercise, an artform, or for competition, and are today practiced both at dance studios and more freely arranged spaces. Some schools use street dance as a form of physical education.

Trainer: Chloe
Hi, my name is Chloe and I am from Malaysia . I was a dance student when I was a child. I started my ballet dance training at the age of 8 and is then that I fell in love with it and decided to pursue my career in dance . I had since then continue my dance training with the Royal Academy of Dance until the age of 24 as a qualified teacher with the academy.
After my completion of dance training with the academy , I was chosen as a dancer for a performance company in my home country - Malaysia. I started to work as a professional dancer as well as a ballet dance teacher.
I had taught children in various part of Asia included Singapore ,Malaysia and Hong Kong. I am currently teaching in London , it is a wonderful exposure to have a chance to work with children from different part of world. I am proud to work here as it has one of the best dance education in the world.
It is totally inspired as a dance lover to have teach dance creatively to young children and I hope that all my students would benefit the most as I did during my younger days.
Lastly, I am looking forward to see you all!
